PAT THE MISSILE

In the project "Pat the missile" hyper-masculinity is confronted with hyper-femininity. The work refers to the sexism and linguistic violence in militarism. The arms industry is dominated by patriarchal power relations and mechanisms of oppression and reproduces toxic male role models that equate military power with sexual potency and masculinity.
It demonstrates a violent correlation between weapons and penises and exerts symbolic violence on the concept of femininity.
